MIPA Summer Workshop: The staff members all performed in the talent show which allowed us to break outside of our comfort zones and bond with each other.
First day of school icebreakers: On the first day of school we did an activity where every new student got paired up with an editor and we had to describe a shape to our partner and they had to draw the shape how we told them to. This activity was meant to show how important it is to communicate with one another clearly as journalists.
Terrified Forest: A few days before Halloween we took as many students that could go out to get pizza and then we went to a haunted maze. This activity helped us get to know each other better and help strengthen our trust in each other.
Dallas Go Big Conference: My staff was able to travel to Dallas, Texas to receive the Pacemaker Finalist and Pacemaker award. The week long conference allowed us to bond through the different fun events like the dance and the awards ceremony.
Friendsgiving: For Thanksgiving each staff member brought in a dish to pass and we had a potluck and went around and talked about what we were thankful for. It made our staff feel less like a staff and more like a family.
